    Hey all,

Moving back to Ireland just after Cheltenham after 6 years in Oz.

The brother and my inner circle of friends live and breathe racing. They Love watching it, attending meetings and P2P's, betting and having the banter surrounded by the general excitement of racing. My brother for instance has a encyclopedic knowledge of racing from breeding all the way through to current form and has many contacts in the industry.

I, on the other hand dont know much and want to learn as much as I can so I can get more involved without feeling out of my depth. Downloaded the beginners guide fro the HRI site, which is excellent. Will learn what I dont know from that. Any info regarding the following for example?

    Stable/jockey partnerships? e.g Tony McCoy/M. Pipe, K. Manning/J. Bolger
Stable Colours e.g green and gold hoops for Mcmanus
Breeding for ground types? e.g Turtle Island - Soft/Heavy Ground

    Thanks!

Start going to P2P's and Race meetings. How come you didn't go before you went to Oz? Seeing as all your friends were into it.
