But no wiring to the living room. Its a sky Danish and has been disconnected for at least 5 years. No idea where the wiring went but there is some hanging from the dish.

What wiring do I need? Is it hard to connect? I don't mind paying someone to do it to be honest.

Im good with computers and all that so I won't need them to setup the satbox (zgemma h.s2) that I may buy from alibaba.

In that case call an independent satellite TV installer.

    I'll look one up.

I wouldn't fancy drilling holes in my ceiling etc myself lol

I'd get a new one up instead, rewiring it and then finding out it doesn't work would be a complete waste of your time. A new dish is less than €50.

Most houses built in the last 15 years or so, usually have a conduit from the loft space down to the TV socket on the living room wall, so most installers would take the cable from the dish under the roof tiles and into the attic.

I've always found that installers will cut and destroy the wires from a previous installation

I've seen it so many times, I can only assume it's standard practise that they all do in order to increase the demand for future installation services.

I was an Installer for 15years and neither I, nor anyone that I knew in the trade did this.

I'm happy to pass on the details of a guy called Eugene who has done installations for me, my brother, a friend and also for my folks. We are all very happy with the end result and the quality of the work.

Just to say, while there is no specific rule against posting phone numbers (and we do so in the satellite shops sticky), it might be an idea to ask this person before posting it publicly, and in reality unless the person is publicly holding themselves out as an installer and supplier of satellite dishes (and link to a website/advert where contact details are listed) it might be better if such things are done by PM

    Thank you for the advice.

Permission was given before posting and since you asked...

You'll find him on Adverts also.

Other than as a satisfied customer, I am not connected in any way.
