    Because mine are!!

    Hi,

Stuck on a pair of Zondas tonight, wound them up so I could hear the sound. They are damn noisy, I hope that's normal! Stuck up a video so you can hear.

Phew, I didn't want to even think about the hassle in sending them back. To be fair I did see other videos on youtube with similar sounding wheels ,but wanted Boardsie confirmation :D

Campag hubs are known for being noisy.
    Its the sound of quality.

Did you not get the controller with the wheels to turn down the freehub volume? I'd return them if you didn't.

Now I understand why people say they go faster and smashed all their PBs on these, they are trying to get away from that sound! :D

Mine are very quiet, barely audible when on the road. I have an older set (2011) on my winter bike boo and they are very quiet also but not as quiet as the 2014 set.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. Mine have sounded exactly like that for the last 6,000km.

I like the sound of them.

Unless it's a one way trip what goes up....

Plus I never said I was a real cyclist.

I can't believe no one has suggested the obvious, you need a second set for a true comparison :D

Perhaps I should get a new bike for the ultimate comparison?

One is no good. You could end up with one quiet. One noisy . you still wouldn't know which was right. Only option is to get 2 new bikes so you can tell properly.

As long as the new bike, or new wheelset, isnt used for try-athlon, things should be alright.

I heard of this guy, mate of mate of a mate kinda thing, who used a new set of Zondas on a Triathlon. Minutes into the 'biking' section they started making this god awful racket, unlike anything he'd ever heard before. Afterwards an inspection found nothing wrong, they were working perfectly.

Legend was the Zondas were wailing in anguish at the sheer indignity of it all..at this diabolical misuse.True story.

Wow. The made up story is actually worse than the awful effort at trolling. 2/10 and that's generous.

    Keep trying though.

Ah go on. 3/10 and we'll call it a deal.
