Would anyone know how to repair an external corner (indoors). The metal beading is rusting and the plaster has come off. I saw on youtube that there is a tape you can get ( in the U.S) that just goes on and then its ready for paint. Would anyone know of something similar here? Will I just try to fill in with regular filler as best I can, and then sand? Thanks.

Gyproc corner tape is what you seek, any builders merchant should stock it.

If it's a 90 degree wall then I'd dig out the beading and replace with a new one - current ones are galvanised and don't rust.

Bed it in with joint filler, smooth over with some proMix finish.

The corner tape is OK but only really good for internal corners or non 90 deg external corners.

If your internal bead has rusted .......... then you need to address the moisture problem. If it's near an external wall you may have lateral moisture penetration, if it's in the kitchen/bathroom ........ you need to activate your vent. Or the bead may be allowing moisture to migrate upwards from a broken DPM.
