Ive just moved back to Ireland from the Uk. I am trying to get signed off work due to depression that I am in counselling for. I want to go to my doctor and get signed off until i am better. I read on the welfare site that i need to make at least one prsi payment in ireland before i can recieve illness benefit. is there anyway around this as i am to ill to look for work at the moment so dont want to apply for jobseekers.
    thanks

Disability might be worth looking into but it can take upto 12 months to get it
