Casual Work to Jobseekers

I got a few days seasonal work before Christmas so I switched to casual work forms. It was fine at the time but now I'm finished up and I'm still having to get the employer to sign and stamp forms for me each week saying I worked. I might get some regular PT work again in a month or two, but there's no guarantees of this.

If I told SW I was finished and switched back to Jobseekers allowance, would I be waiting months for my pay to get re-instated? I don't want to have to go without payment as my pay is already irregular with these yellow forms, and I've bills to pay!

No you wont be waiting. You will need to bring in your P45 and they will just put you back to normal JA.

I was in a similar situation and they switched me back automatically after a few months of handing in dockets with no days worked, there's no delay with your money. I just got a letter saying they were moving me back to regular jobseekers and told me date and where to collect it. It was a relief - I found it slightly soul destroying calling into work every week for months when I wasn't working to get the form filled in.
