Saorview EPG incomplete on Panasonic TV

    I have a 5 year old UK Panasonic TV with an inbuilt tuner that works for saorview. Problem is the EPG is only showing a now and sometimes next, but no information beyond that. This only happened yesterday. I have rescanned the channels but this didn't work. Just wondering what might be going on.

    This is interesting. My Panasonic Freeview HD PVR (2 years) shows no info. on the now and next except the title of the programme but does show a full EPG for both Freeview/Saorview. Both my Sony TV sets have full now and next and EPG (they are over 3 years old). Out of interest do you pick up Freeview as well?

    Just one of those differences between the Saorview and Freeview receiver standards we mentioned in this recent discussion. Now/next information is a mandatory part of the service information stream but addition programme information appears to be accessed differently between Saorview and Freeview.

    I have two pre-Saorview Sony TVs, 2008 and 2010, and a Freeview Panasonic PVR similar to the one Digifriendly uses and none of them display programme info beyond now/next. All Saorview approved receivers should display the 7 day without issue.

    Update, the issue has resolved itself somehow. Probably just a glitch in the matrix. Cheers all.

    This happens on older Panasonic TV's usually model number ending in L when you select Ireland as the country.

    You usually don't have the option to select UK.

    Select France as the country and guide will work perfectly.

    Channels will begin in 800 numbers but are easy to renumber in the menu to start from 1. The epg will reflect these changes.
