Disibility payments late to bank today?

Hi all I just checked with TSB and my disability payment hasn't been deposited yet today. Is anybody else having that problem with perm tsb? Getting worried as I have some outgoing debits due today also.

Just checked, I'm TSB too and no payment, glad it isn't just me.

Mines not there either, I'm with PTSB. My mother hasn't got hers either, she's with AIB.

My missus works in an intreo office on Wednesdays, I'll ask her to find out what's up with D.A. payments and post back as soon as she let's me know.

Ok, so it does seem there's a problem with D.A. Payments, the office has had a lot of calls this morning about it but they can't find out locally what the problem is. She's trying to contact the Disability Allowance Section who are based in Longford to find out what's going on and when it will be sorted. She did say it seems like it's a general D.A. section problem though so anyone worrying about a problem with their claim or it being stopped needn't worry just yet as it's probably just a glitch in the matrix and will hopefully be sorted asap.

She said anyone in severe need can make an appointment at their local Intreo offices and apply for a short term exceptional needs or similar supplementary welfare grant and the community welfare officer should be able to sort them out, although it's not ideal for payees to have to do this.

It has just been posted on the website that they are aware of issue and will update at 1030, was on hold when that popped up.

Finally got through to longford and they said payments should be in by tomorrow.

73,000 payments affected. Currently working the switchboard in the information section here and it's a department problem, not yours. Will be sorted as soon as possible. That's all the info we have too.

Bank of Ireland just tweeted that payments wont be in until tomorrow.2 direct debits just gone thru for me which means I will get overlimit charges this evening!

Thankfully I've no dd going out today. Bit unfair having failed payment charges when it's entirely NOT your fault your money wasn't there. But suppose it isn't the banks fault either. I'd advise folks who have dd's that'l bounce today to contact the payees and let them know the score so it doesn't go against ye

Seems it's not just disability allowance, my back to education allowencr didn't go in this morning either. So glad it wasn't just me tho, hopefully it will be sorted soon ðŸ˜

Write to the bank and explain, they usually refund charges in these circumstances.

Nearly 75,000 people have not received their disability or illness benefits that were due to have been paid to them this morning.

The Department of Social Protection said all payments will be made by tomorrow and that the payments were not issued this morning due to a technical problem.

The Department said that 73,600 people were affected.

It added that Bank of Ireland and AIB customers will be paid this afternoon.

Ulster Bank customers will have access to an emergency cash fund until their payment is made tomorrow.

All other payments will be lodged in bank accounts tomorrow.

Considering I'm KBC, I guess I'm out of luck, direct debit return fees and food until tomorrow. Wonderful.

Snap. I think its unfair that they can arrange it so some customers will get their money this afternoon (I'm happy for them but pissed off for me) and others like us are SOL.

It seems I've gotten my payment twice now. Once on Wednesday afternoon under "DOP advance" and on Thursday with the usual code. I wonder when one of the payments will be returned.
