    Hi,
I have just got a Zgemma H.2S box. I cabled it up correctly. The set came with a USB that I have plugged into the back. However, on power up, the box is stuck on "boot". Has anyone seen this issue before? And any advise on how to resolve it?
    Cheers,
    Ted.

Got one last week, great little box.

    Whats on the usb key?

Have you tried starting it up without it in just incase?

    Have you tried reflashing it?

When I plug the USB into my PC, it doesn't register that I have plugged one in. So, I cannot access it to see if there is anything on it.

Tried starting it up without the USB installed. Still gets stuck on boot.

Is there a step by step guide for dummies on line with instructions on how to reflash the box?

there appears to be a dedicated forum for that box called tech kings.org

and I found a link for a guide under a thread its by a newbie asking for help and the stuck in boot is not uncommon. A suggestion on there is to use a backup image initially as it will have all the bits included.

Do you know the image that came with box?

I'm afraid I don't know what image came with the box.
Is there a way to find out seeing as it won't power up properly?

It may be formatted to .ext3 linux file system which windows won't recognise.
There are programs that should allow you to access that file system under windows though.
Probably not much on the usb though apart from epg data, picons maybe, and recordings (if you had any)

1, Download an image and extract/unzip it.
2, Unzip it and copy the "Zgemma" folder to a USB stick
3, Plug the USB to the back panel USB port.
    4, Power on,
5, Press the Power Key on the front panel after you see “USB”on the
    display.Then the display shows “Flash”
6, Wait Until the decoder restart Automatically.
7, no need power off, just take off the USB when the receiver is working.

Openatv is quite commonly installed as they officially support zgemma receivers.
    You can get it here:
