Indie band looking for members

I am currently on a recruitment drive. I have an album recorded and am looking for people to initially be part of a live setup with an eye to collaborating creatively going forward.

I am not looking to recreate the recordings note for note but rather do interpretations of the songs with the people I am playing with playing to their strengths (which is what happened on the recordings) and bringing their own thing to the table. The chord progressions/structures are in place but other than that it is largely a blank canvas.

At the moment we are a singer/guitarist (me) and a bassist. I am looking for a drummer, guitarist(s), keyboards and strings players, ideally some or all of whom would have some singing ability.

I don't have any set line up in mind, it depends on whoever expresses an interest. The plan is get out playing gigs in whatever form the band takes as soon as possible. We are not going to wait around for the dream line up.

Rehearsals will be twice a week, one evening during the week and part of a day at the weekend. As to where we would rehearse, that depends on where the people involved are living, though I'm based in the north city centre and have found Troubadour to be good.

I would also expect people to do their homework i.e. familiarise themselves with the song structures, work on their parts on their own time. In my experience, if people don't do that it makes rehearsals a lot less productive and the whole getting out there and playing gigs thing becomes a later rather than a sooner.

In terms of what we sound like these will give you a better idea.

    BASSIST WANTED

So there have been some recruitments and some reshuffling the last few weeks. We are now looking for a bassist as our previous bassist has moved over to drums.
