Intense Lower Back Pain Post-Surgery

    Hey guys,

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I couldn't find a thread I thought would be right for this.

I had my tonsils out last Saturday and have actually been fine, no pain, I'm alert and eating well but over the past 5 days, I have had the most intense back pain I have ever felt. I cannot sleep, it causes my belly to hurt and slight breast pain too (I'm not pregnant).

It has got to the stage where it is unbearable and I permanently have a hot water bottle on it.

I started working out yesterday to start exercising but I am so crippled by the pain.

Has anybody else gone through this and is it because I haven't been up and about like normal?

    Thank you guys!

Eh, Im sure you are not supposed to be working out so soon after surgery?

As to the back pain, have you seen your GP about it? I doubt anyone on the internet is going to be able to diagnose it.

My surgeon told me that I should start doing a light workout that I normally do in the second week of recovery (which is this week now) :)

I am going to get blood pressure taken tomorrow so I will ask then! Just thought I'd see if anybody else had had any experience of this as I am 22 and normally am very fit!

It could be totally unrelated to your surgery.

But youll need to be asking your GP to check it out.

    Hi Aragneer,

As others have said, if you are intense pain that really is something to contact your doctor about as no one here can advise whether this is normal or something more serious. Hope your issue gets resolved.

    penguin.
