Hi, Can someone tell me the main differences between: 1. Amiko Alien 2 Triple Tuner 2. Amiko Alien 2 plus Triple Tuner I know the plus i newer but unsure of the differences. I'm the bidding on ebay for the Amiko Alien 2 and I'm wondering should I withdraw and get a plus version. Any help greatly appreciated. D.

AFAIK the plus means it has the newer DVB-T2 terrestrial tuner which is needed for FreeView HD if you get a signal from the North or Wales. It is also part of the Saorview spec but is not currently in use here. It is backward compatible with the standard DVB-T.

So, does that mean that it will work Ok (for now at least) in the Republic for Freesat and Saorview?

Yes. If it's only a few quid more, it will future proof the box for you.
