Dishwasher Fill hose

Installed a new dishwasher recently but machine was taking longer to fill than old one and on two occasions displayed a fault code which I suspected was to do with a filling problem despite having a constant mains pressure of over 3 Bar. I pulled out the machine and found that the hose had partially collapsed on wide 90 deg. bend. The grey coloured hose is very flimsy and is stamped A5 47 15 Re-Flex 800 EN 61770 10 Bar 25C and is 13 MM OD. I replaced it with the original hose from my 10 year old machine which is far more robust and is 17 MM OD.
I dont want to name the dishwasher manufacturer as this type of hose is probably common to a lot of new machines, just be careful if you come across it as I was very careful when installing it and still had a problem.

Can't be any harm to name the manufacturer!

Worse again are the black rigid hoses supplied with Hoover dishwashers there a pain to say the least.

Id Also love to meet the engineer at Bosch that designed the mains connection down on the bottom of the machine that has a tendency of leaving the cable being just an inch short of the socket.

My ikea rebranded whirlpool dishwasher came with a mental looking aqua stop ratchet action type thing on the end of the hose. Had to relocate the plumbing behind the sink to fit the feckin thing.

Its probably those smart Bosch accountants that cut that inch off.

It wouldn't surprise me if there's half a metre of "spare" flex inside the panel. ;)
