Awful Dilemma...

A couple of weeks ago, I went on holiday so I lent my apartment to some people I know. They said they would look after it well. So, I get back from holiday and the place was totally trashed. Ceilings and floors damaged. Broken sanitary ware in bathroom. Broken kitchen presses. 40” Smart TV all smashed up. However, they deny that it was their fault. They said that other apartments got smashed up in the same week in the same block. It’s not their fault.

So I hired some cleaners, plasterers and plumbers in to fix up all the problems. It was an awful inconvenience when they were doing the work they cost me a bloody fortune. I’m now blaming them for this right mess. So, even though they are nearly finished and place is almost sorted – I’ve just fired them.

By the way, the folks who trashed my apartment. I’m going away again next week and I have now got them back to look after the place again. They really are a great bunch of lads. So nice to talk to. My apartment is nearly sorted out. Thank goodness I rid of that other crowd who fixed it up.

(Fictional storey but tell me how that is different from the Irish voting for FF in their droves again?)

What on earth are you waffling about man!

You stole your premise from something Des Bishop tweeted today.

Get your own bloody analogy, or at least pass on your thanks you get to him.

you forgot the part about the cleaners, plasterers and plumbers egging your mates on to absolutely destroy the place and burn the apartment complex down and telling everyone who'd listen how much of a better job they'd do rending the earth asunder if only they were allowed.

Sorry, but that's the greatest load of election crap yet.

So who voted for the TV?

    I'm confused!?

Hope it works out for you.

Don't understand people saying it's crap as if it's completely meaningless. Crude analogy but easy to see the point being made, and some validity to it.

Are there a few FF voters here?

It's crap because it's not his analogy in the first place.

But the analogy doesn't work at all. It IS completely meaningless.

Allegory isn't your strong point. Maybe try an angry street corner rant?

No, I think the TV and kitchen presses are metaphors for the various things that they messed up. The TV might be the health service etc.

After everything I've seen, heard and read the past few days I've come to the conclusion we should just let the Brits come back and let them handle the governing.

Well matter of opinion - I agree with the general point it makes.
Crooked FF helps ruin the economy, coalition comes in to fix the mess and there is an economic recovery (it did not hit every corner of the country for sure, but there was still an economic recovery) - people pissed off at the mess left by FF not being wiped away with a magic wand... people vote in FF again.

Des Bishop did it much better with a lot less words.

Look Marge, you don't know what it's like -- I'm the one out there every day putting his ass on the line. And I'm not out of order! You're out of order! The whole freakin' system is out of order! You want the truth? You want the truth?! You can't HANDLE the truth! 'Cause when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo that was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do! Forget it, Marge, it's Chinatown!"

Doesn't have to be The Brits.

A dog with a hammer up it's arse can see we're incapable of self - Government.

If one was to believe everything from the Official Media & the Internet these past weeks, this country is ripe for a take-over.
We hate our Government (s) Politicians of all stripes, and none,, detest our Police, Our own Defence Forces, The 'Establishment' of the State, and anyone that dares earn over 100,000 Euro.

I look forward to the next General Election in three weeks time.

Shure is a ****ed up disunited little country. (IMO)
