iMac not detecting PCI Ethernet card

I have a Mid-2010 iMac running OS X El Capitan 10.11.3. The system has failed to detect the PCI Ethernet card. Wifi works fine.
Did some searching and it may be the logic board.

First question...has anyone any experience of this? Any fix for it?

Secondly, if no fix available would this work for the above iMac? It doesn't specifically say it will.

I can get by using wifi but would rather use the ethernet port for a more reliable connection.
