I turned it off at the switch below it last night - now I turned the switch back on and its not coming on. The bottom corner red light doesn't come on and the pressure is at 0.5 bar.

I saw on another thread that theres a diaphragm like switch to be pressed - it seems solid/not pressable.

Is there something I've missed or have I literally broken a sophisticated gas system at the flick of a switch?

Does the boiler make any attempt to fire or is it dead on the wall?
