Just a heads-up that Discovery Channel has a 5 hour real-time Rail journey in Alaska ongoing until 20:00 tonight.

Two or three cameras, with most of the focus coming from the front facing, with occasional views of the wheelset and loco roofs.

No soundtrack other than the sound of the GM engines and the various air valves operating.

It should'nt work, but it is strangely relaxing and mesmerising at the same time.....have a look...you'll find yourself staying longer than you planned !!! :D

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

    Charles Mackay (1812-1889)

    That's gas!

They should have gotten the driver from the A Class farewell video for a decent bit of banter!
