Sky Signal issues

Got sky in a new house about 5 months ago. All good until about two weeks ago. The picture kept going with a message on screen saying no signal being received. It would come and go but was getting worse. On the signal check it showed signal 1 as being the issue. Did the standard wire checks etc but no joy. Sky engineer called to set up appointment and I told him the issue, definitely the dish he said. When he came picture was perfect and full signal so he said wasn't dish and prob just loose connections.

After he left issue came back and now sometimes it's signal 2 that drops. Have sky coming back tomorrow but just worried that it will be fine when they arrive so they won't be able to see the issues. I have pics of the signal issues etc but any ideas what is the issue? If it was the dish I assume it would always be dodgy?

get him to change the lnb and he will have to adjust dish as well. you can also reset the box ie factory. Its either a dodgy lnb or box software is glitchy. have you tried a forced download of software.

What did this involve? Did you disconnect the cables at the receiver & look for any evidence of water ingress?
