Can you leave him out in a field with a dry cow for company ?

I have the opposite problem. The bull is in the pen with cows to try an pick them up, but the cows are rising on each other and the bull has no interest!!

Sometimes they work better out on soft ground .

had to get rid of one of our stock bulls went mad when we started liming each day, got a bit of hurdling practice in

if he'd lift the cow id say time to go what could he do to you, minute we see a bit of aggregation out the door

Yea I know what your saying. I am not sure about our new bull. I bought him six months back as a year old lim bull. I have him in a pen with five cows. Some days he will come up to the barrier and lick my jacket some days he will walk over and show me the top of his head. I am not sure is he cross or just a bit frustrated being locked up. I was going to hold off judgement until I let him out to grass( if it ever stops raining). Sometimes they can settle down fine. Every bull we have had has got a little Agro as the hit hit 3-4 years old we only keep 12-15 cows and they have not got enough work

This my first year having an older bull around the place. I've had younger teaser bulls all along. My rule is I never go within 10 feet of him. No petting him or scratching him. If he never has to even think about me he won't see me as s threat. That's my theory anyway.
