I was thinking of using Eby sexed Semen on lim heifers that would calfing down at 24 months. I would prefer to use Zlt AA but he does not have sexed semen . I used Ohs Aa on a good few heifers this year and all heifer calfs came unassisted and all bull calves were on the big side 35-45 kg calfs I thought it was a fare bit for a heifer luckily they were three year old heifers.

Have ten straws in the tank, haven't used him yet. From what I've heard he's easy calved and breeds nice shapey calves but I can't understand why sexed semen is available off him. There's very little milk in his breeding, any heifers off him are going to have a lot less milk than their mothers. Maybe people who have used him will say different.

You often see the sexed semen on terminal bulls and non sexed semen on maternal Bulls . In this case I think it might be to give you an option to have a smaller heifer calf.

Used him on 3 british friesian cows this year, one monster of a heifer that is pure wild, one small little bull and one smallish heifer. Really nice shapely calves. All calved before their time was up. Bear in mind he was used on big strong cows. Really nice stock left after him.

Have been using EBY on all my commercial sucklers for 3 years solely for his s easy calving.... All unassisted cows and heifers.....
.but was only saying it to the AI man last week I got 2very hard calving with the last 2 ....needed jack and 2big bull calves and calves look nothing like my other EBY calves....I was wondering did a batch of straws get mislabeled...... It will be interesting to see if anyone gets a heifer calf DNA tested as part of the genomic scheme will the sire match up......

His daughters milf figures wouldn't be fantastic nor would his fertility. She'd want to be out of a real good milky cow.

IMO he's more of a safe bet for young heifers calving for his ease of calving than a cow maker.
