I lived in Dubai for 3 years. In this post, I've written about things to do, the nightlife, the culinary scene and the culture. Post below if you've got any questions and I'll try and answer them.

Hey thanks for sharing your recommendations. Any advice on hotels in Dubai? Ideally looking for an all inclusive resort.

Most hotels in Dubai are eye-waveringly expensive five-star places, or kind of crappy Novotel types, there isn't much of an in between.

If you're looking for somewhere you'll be comfortable with your family, I would recommend trying to get an apartment through AirBnB.
