Diamond colour on a wedding/eternity ring

Does anyone know what colour are the diamonds in wedding bands in the high street jewellers in Ireland? I could of sworn I read somewhere they are usually a "h" in colour and aren't certified because they are so small? I am looking at getting a channel set half eternity ring either 0.25 carat, 0.33 carat or 0.5 carat. I reckon it will be 0.33 carat though. Prices I have found in Ireland are so far around €750-€1800.

I am toying with the idea of buying it abroad as they are ALOT cheaper but just want to make sure I am pricing like with like. The jewellers (abroad) in question tell me there is no visible difference between at f/g or a h/I as diamonds are so small but there is a price difference! They have sent me photos. My own engagement ring is a "g" in colour but 1 carat in size. I don't want yellowish diamonds.

    Thanks a million :)

I have tiny diamonds on my wedding band, engagement ring and eternity ring. The main stones are a different gemstone. None of the tiny stones around the main stone (if that makes sense!) are classified in the paperwork from the shop (all bought in the same shop) but the total carat weight for the diamonds is specified for each ring.

Lazygal thanks a million. by any chance do you know the colour of the diamonds in eternity ring? The pictures that they sent me look fab. I have been to a few jewellers in Dublin and they all look the same to me ;)

The jeweller just sent me another picture but it was a full eternity ring not half and pave setting, it is f colour and vs clarity. I work with my hands so ruled out full eternity rings....hmmmm.

Really I haven't a clue. I just went for rings I liked and the colour wasn't a factor in the buying process! They're so small I can't see how the colour would have a huge bearing on their look.

I think your right lazygal. I honestly can't seem to tell the difference from photos ;)

You wouldn't be able to tell the colour that well even on a H rated diamond unless it was huge and beside a sparking white diamond, or you were a gem expert. If they're small, you really aren't gonna care about 4C's as much IMO. You may as well get the best deal.
