No. Just relief when it happened me.

Yes OP, you'll drop your can of dutch gold, and shred your tracksuit bottoms, your accent will change from a northside dublin slur to a sophisticated Dublin 4 accent, and emerge from your cocoon as a fully functioning member of society.

Don't forget to take your hand out of your pants, it's frowned upon in most workplaces.

I had no withdrawal symptoms, was only on it for 7 weeks though.

    Good luck with the job

Whatever about the psychological symptoms, the lack of income while you work a back month can cause quite a large pain in the proverbials

When I came off it all I felt was relief. Relief that I didn't have to deal with those ****ehawks again.
They made me feel worse for even needing to be on the social in the first place. Not all of them tbf but most.

    Good luck with the job!

Exactly how I felt as well.

It was bad enough being on the dole but the people I had to deal with.

At one of those meetings, I wasn't allowed to pick my own course. They tried to force me into a very basic computer course because places were available to start the week after. A course on the same level as the junior certificate and to learn such things as library researching skills, internet skills, word processing, work experience. I had a level 6 and level 7 already where I done a whole lot more at a level 6 and 7. I figured it was more to do with work experience and slave labour more than anything.

To go backwards was stupid, how about a new course where I would learn something. But nope, i would have to wait it out to start a different course until it started.

It was a way to force suicide on people.
