HC Synthetic Oils

I am looking at ordering some service bits from louis.ie and I am looking at their oils.

They are listed as either fully synthetic or HC-Synthetic. I am guessing that HC stands for Hydro-cracked but is it semi-synthetic oil?

The Bandit needs semi, last time I put fully synthetic oil in it was a disaster.

This is the one I am looking at.

    I appreciate the help!

The German market is unique in that they have to list synthetic oil as either Full synthetic which is Polyalphaolefin PAO or as Hydrocracked Synthetic.
The rest of the world gets Hydrocracked Synthetics listed as full synthetic.
You need Part-synthetic which will be called Teilsynthetisch.
The label colour is the key, Green= Mineral, Blue semi/synthetic, Orange HC synthetic and Red is Full PAO synthetic.
Assuming that you are talking about their Procycle oil?

Cheers for the info. Thats very helpful.

I was looking at Castrol initially. What is the Procycle oil like ? Has anybody tried it ? Its going into a Bandit 1200 with 50k miles on the clock.

Generally speaking, Germans do not waste their money on crap and they demand high quality products for their money, I wouldn't worry about any oil sold by a reputable outlet like Louis (provided it's the right type for your bike the brand shouldn't matter.)

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

Yeah oil seems ok. Certain stuff like fuel additives , certain aerosols are a no go though.

I ordered a puncture repair kit when I first got the CB. They shipped the kit except for the gas canisters.
