Have my Solo2 now up and running just great, thanks to some help on this forum.

Now I would like to add the saorview channels with a USB DVB T stick. I know I will need a UHF ariel in the attic as well. Are these USBs just plug and play? If not any adice or link to a guide to set it up please.

    Cheers

    P

you will find usb-dvbT drivers in download plugins > drivers, I've been using the Sony play tuner for a few years now, no issues so far.

I decided to play safe and ordered a VU+ Turbo USB Tuner DVB-C/T2 as I can be sure of compatability etc. Thanks P

Vu+ Turbo arrived and all connected up to powered UHF aerial. Downloaded driver from plug ins and ran service scan. Am running BlueHD on openvix The scanning process "sees" the DVBT but cant find the channels on the programme guide....have I neglected to download something like open TV?

    Cheers

PS Just changed DVB config from C to T2, could that have been an issue?

Yes. C would be cable and T2 should be dtt, I dont have that set up so may be open to correction. You need to change the country as well. I have BH and use Europe, middle east, etc and it says at end DVB-T frequencies.

I also enter the actual channels, eg 48, 8 mghz, 690000 rather than auto but try auto first.

You can use ABM (auto bouquet maker) on openvix to create a saorview bouquet. Go to ABM and add the Saorview provider for your area and then scan.

I prefer to have saorview (1-10) and sky (101-onwards) providers combined using ABM and custommix file. ABM has lots of options/hacks.
