barista job / agency

    Hello i have been wondering if anyone has ever tried or knows if i could apply to some agency to find job as a barista ?. I want to work as a barista because i love doing it . Also i have done a course in dublin barista school and im fully qualified but i dont have much experience in this position . Can anyone help or give me a tip on how i could reach my goal . I am young and motivated to do whatever it takes . I have sent many cvs around but still without success .

    To follow up on my own question. I had a look at this course in Cork:

    It looks really good and I've heard great things about them. Even though I have a job I want to try it anyway. More for myself really.

    Just our of curiosity. What is the situation on the barista job market out there? Can anyone share some experiences?

    Know a guy who is on his third employer and from what I hear, its still min wage per hour, probably no tea break, maybe full 6.5 hours or more to lunch break and you get paid a day or two and more, late! Tips do seem to be fairly divided and its a cool atmosphere/environment in which to work. Its hard on the feet, too and a very tiring job.
