not sure if its the right forum so feel free to move..

d'ya feel like turning a blind eye to something? you see something bad happen, but choose to not see it..if you get me? within reason of course.
like it's less hassle to pretend you don't see it so that you don't have to deal with the consequences. i think it's selfish in a way..other times maybe it's necessary.

working in retail, i find that the more i "do my job", the more hassle i get. the less i "see",easier things seem to be. i see that with my colleagues sometimes. they know they shouldn't do something, or they let people away with things, and they don't seem to have hardship.

i used to know of a shop years ago that used to sell cigs to schoolkids. i recently discovered that one my friends drink drives, and that other friends KNEW about this and didn;t do anything. they didn't even take her keys.
all this is turning a blind eye.yesterday i confronted a customer in a shop where i work...i thought he was being untruthful as he has been in the past. i just never had the balls to confront him before, yet the one time i did, without going into too much detail, turns out he was 100% correct. so im really beginning to think that pretending not to see bad stuff will make life easier. :/

sorry for the silly long winded piece..just needed to let all this out.

I can see this being shut down because I'm not sure this is a personal issue. Having said that, is this tied in with your recent thread about being afraid to "adult". Maybe you need to accept that having "balls" isn't your thing and be at peace with that?
