My garden was recently damaged by straying animals. I've contacted the owner of the animals advising of damage and heard nothing back. My next step has been to get a quote to repair damage and I'll give him this along with a letter requesting payment.
What happens next though if he doesn't pay??

Assuming that the damage was caused by livestock and not domestic pets then the farmer should have insurance to cover this.
