Question about using bag drops at the airport, SAS

So even though I've flown many times by the now, it has always been with just a cabin case. However, soon I am going on a longer than usual break and will be using checked baggage for the first time.
I will be flying with SAS from Dublin and am just wondering how the whole bag drop procedure works?
Can I still check in online and already have my boarding pass printed out or do I have to wait to check in at the airport when I have a bag to check in too?
Also, is it the one bag drop area at Dublin airport for all passengers?
I'm a little confused so any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated:)

Just flew with SAS this weekend and checked in a bag. We'd our boarding cards printed, when you arrive have a look on the big screens to see what bag drop area it is and you have to leave the bags at that specific one.
It was very hassle free, no queue or anything.
One thing that was different for us was if you're travelling through Oslo even if your bags get tags through to final destination you have to pick them up in Oslo and go back through bag drop there. Something to do with customs!

Yes, you can still check in online and then just go to the bag drop desk with your boarding pass and suitcase. You'll need to check the screens to see which area you need to go to for your flight, I don't know if SAS have just the one desk for all flights or several ones.

    Thanks, sounds straight-forward enough.
Was there some staff waiting at the bag drop to put the bag tags on or did you literally just leave your bag there and go?

There was staff there, it was like an old school check in but we just already had the boarding passes.
