odd problem - bathroom taps hot / cold

I think this may be a problem caused by something falling into the water tank in the attic .I have since cleaned it out .
    but here is the problem

the hot water tap and bath tap in bath room , and at kitchen sink dribble to a slow trickle.

if i connect a mains supply hose to the bathroom tap and blow back mains water , it fixes the hot taps , and the water gets strong and hot
but then the cold taps eventually stop working ( apart from the mains tap in the kitchen )

after a few weeks cold taps work ok but the hot taps fail again and i have to blow it back again .

it seems i may have debris moving around and blocking hot or cold , but not sure where this is happening - is it in the immersion tank or maybe nearer the attic feeder tank ?

there is only one feeder pipe out of the attic tank .

it has me baffled as to where this alternating block is occuring ?
