Wisdom teeth removal

Hi, I got my left wisdom teeth out last Friday afternoon. The top one just popped out, but the surgeon had a difficult time with my bottom one and it took him 3 to 4 minutes to get it out. It didn't hurt but I could feel the pressure he was putting on me and my nose and ears felt like they were twisting. I seem to be healing OK, but I am still swollen and my ear, jaw and nose are sore. I rang the dentist yesterday and they said this was probably to be expected, but when I came in to work this morning, someone said he could have broken something. Is this possible? If I am still in pain by Friday should I ask for an x-ray or something?

Who said something was broken?? Someone in work???!!

Probably a dry socket or maybe a post op infection... Get a review appointment....

I went in this morning and I don't have an infection, in fact, my work colleague was closer to the truth in that my jaw was strained by the pressure that was put on me. I should have been put under apparently.

    Absolute rubbish!!
No one "needs" to have a GA for wisdom tooth removal.

OP, you need to put more weight on the opinion of your dental professional than some guy in the office who thinks he knows something about dentistry just because he had a tooth out once.

I have 2 wisdom teeth coming in right now actually. One is coming in straight and I am not sure about the other one as I don't see it yet. Seems a bit odd you would have to deal with this after getting it removed, I thought it was suposta help pain not make more!

There will always be some post op discomfort following wisdom tooth removal.... But at least it will be short lived and the wisdom tooth will not be there to bother you again...
The alternative is to leave a painful/infected tooth to cause repeated problems forever....
