Does anyone know where I can get Bord Pleanala Statistics?

For example 'number of cases submitted' Vs 'number of cases overturned'
Number of cases that go against the council decision Vs those that agree.
    Ideally by county.

    Any ideas?

I hate when people bump their posts but I'm kinda stuck - any ideas?

I don't think such a thing is published. All the decisions are published though so in theory you could go through the decisions and work out the numbers yourself.

Bear in mind that you are over-simplifying the situation above.

There are 1st and 3rd party appeals and in many cases the appeal may only relate to a particular condition on the grant of planning rather than the overall decision to grant.

What's your reason for needing the figures?

you could contact the CSO and ask for specifics or through FOI... but i dont think that those specific details are available on the web.

The CSO does release planing permission information though.

ABP publish a report every year which outlines their decisions. You can find them under publications on their website. This is the 2014 report:

Go to page 133 for the decision stats

    Bingo Rabbo.

Shocking figure, 81 decisions in Cork, 13% of them confirmed the original decision by CCC.
Must make the Planning Dept. of Cork CC feel really special that the Bord agrees with them 13% of the time.

in fairness 56% varied which is still agreeing with the overall decision just changing a condition or something along that line. 1/3 overturned which would seem average.
Could always be cavan! none agreed with and 3/5 overturned!
