A relative was given a copy and the original of the summons with the purpose of handing the copy person [a] I well call them for now. They only know of one place they are co owner of.

They can't be sure if said person while be there.

Can a summons be left at the persons work place if they are not there. I have offered to hand it over as live in a different part of the country.

I would go with the first one. It maybe best to leave it at the place I know, than driving around looking for them

Relative heard back from the solicitor. They where told it has to be handed to said person. Surely leaving IT at a place you know they are co-owner, should be good enough.

Summons says they can go to prison for 3 months if they don't show up to court.

Looks like the summons that was for this person looks like he has moved to spain. What would be the options here? Would someone need to fly to spain or is it a dead end?

Bench warrant will be awarded and when person ever arrives back they should be detained.

Serious enough just brushing under carpet and forgetting about it.

How will any judge issue a Bench warrant when he is aware the person was never served.

    It can be done.

Especially in a case where the person is hiding or not accepting to take summons.

I am sure the person for which the summons is intended is aware by now there I one for them.

If it were extremely serious extradition proceedings would be started if applicable.

It's civil proceedings why in gods name would extradition be used to get a person to attend in court in Ireland for a civil proceeding.

Hence I stated in certain extreme cases.

This person was told by judge they were to pay ex amount to someone else after going to court but never did.

I was told the person may never return leaving his kids here. Bit of a bad apple in my opinion
