    The old UPC routers were never great.
    I used to use them as a cable modem only, and put my own WIFI router on them.

    I've 4 powerline adapters now, Zyzel brand up to 500mbs I think so should be similar in spec. They work well, streaming hidef movies from my NAS box in the attic all the way down to the sitting room.
