Good source for old Irish railway maps?

Hellooooooo, I'm currently undertaking a project, part of which involves digitizing an old Irish railway map.

The project involves comparing the railway network of present to that of 1930's Ireland. I have a digital shapefile of the modern Irish railway systems, but still need an old 1930s map.

Anyone have any ideas where I could download a map of the Irish rail networks from the 1930s??

I believe the Wikapedia map is a 1930s map.

Cheers for all the info guys! That gif is fantastic! I automatically didn't bother to check Wikipedia because I can't reference it, but that is really great. I'll check out the source of it and use it, definitely.

Brilliant! Thank you Losty :-) I have also been wondering if such a map was available on-line but never found one.

The imagination runs wild if some of those lines still existed. What a way to tour the island......

If you want to scan a better quality map then drop me a PM. I have a copy of a map that will be better than those linked on the thread plus it should have come copyright info on it for you to credit correctly when doing your report.
