I've been driving an old 2002 zafira but need to upgrade as it needs about 1.5 to 2k work to get through the NCT now

problem is my partner is 6ft 8 and so many cars are simply two small for him to fit behind the wheel and my daughter to have any leg room at all in the back - we've found cars with the back seats on sliding rails to be the best bet so far - eg zafira, renault scenic

we came close to buying a 2012 scenic last week but in the end were messed around so much and the car wasn't up to scratch after service so we walked away. I was very disappointed but am on the hunt again now

The Zafira is out of NCT now so we need to move fast

Any one got any advice on other models or recommendations on a good place in Cork to get a decent second hand zafira or scenic?

I'm just 6' 6" - but share the pain :D Mondeo, Superb or i40. If you find legroom too small in Superb, then your case is just hopeless ;)

Mazda6 is spacious too - but only in saloon - estate has reduced wheelbase.

Do you need a small7 seater for any other reason?

thanks - we don't really need the 7 seater (except for ferrying gangs of kids around, we've only 2 but they've a gang of friends that come too sometimes, it's not a deal breaker though)

looked at a 2012 zafira today - it had 103,000km on it but he offered it to us for 14,500 (with our old banger) which seems a good price to me

it has bluetooth but no usb connector and the interior has a fair bit of mould on seat belts etc but salesman said that would all be valeted out

Try a Skoda Superb or a Skoda Yeti. I'm 6'2 and there's ton of headspace in my Superb. The Yeti has a ton of headspace too I believe.

I love the yeti but he thinks he doesn't fit - in the new ones at least. Maybe something a couple of years older might have different space. He does fit in suberb, and they seem a lovely car. I prefer the higher driving position though

I've been travelling with the same taxi driver for a while and he drives the 2015 Seat Alhambra. Very high ceiling in it. Might be worth a look.

My other half is 6'5" and has no trouble fitting in our Volkswagen touran. The back seats slide forward or back to make more leg room in the middle row too. Very reliable car. We are currently selling ours and planning to buy another touran.
