    Hi,
please see the pic below of my secondary clutch cylinder / bar it presses against..

When the clutch is pressed this area makes a squeaking noise, I was wondering if I should spray grease into the weird opening in the boot on the right side (bar the clutch cylinder is pressing against)??

It sticks out and has an opening, It's just asking to be filled with grease?

Yep I'd get some Moly grease on there straight away.
And maybe get some rubber grease inside the boot.

ok, I'll put some Red Rubber grease in both boots so

Do these parts get hot that requires rubber grease instead of normal lithium grease?

    Thanks

No its not heat, but the rubber grease won't react with brake or clutch fluid.
I'd use Moly grease where the piston contacts the lever though.

The only place that you should grease is where the end of the pin from the slave cylinder contacts the thrust lever. Do NOT put grease inside the boots. It won't do any good. Putting it inside the boot on the slave cylinder could cause failure of the seals and putting inside the boot on the bell housing could cause you to need a new clutch if it get on the linings / pressure plate.

Telling you to put grease inside either boot is bad advice in my opinion.
Unlikely that greasing will solve your creaking in any case as its likely to be where the thrust lever contacts the release bearing.

While the seal of the slave cylinder is unlikely to get damaged from moly lube it won`t solve the squeaking I agree. The noise is coming form the pressure plate/bearing area and putting grease in there is a big no no alright.

You know what rubber grease is used for right?
Greasing brake caliper seals when you reassemble them. It will not cause seal failure as that is expressly what it is designed for.
Moly grease is for high pressure applications just like the piston contact area.

I'd say that putting grease on the tip where it presses the release lever has a good chance of eliminating your squeak. Avoid getting it on the rubber and it certainly won't do any harm.
