Hi all, in secondary school at the moment and considering a career in pe teaching. Just wondering what the jobs situation is like, what the lifestyle is like and do you have to be as interested in your second subject as i would prefer to be teaching pe full time.

Jobs situation much the same as other subjects. Very few full-time posts, expect to be part time for years before getting 'full' hours or a contract.

You'd be very unlikely to be teaching PE exclusively. I don't know any PE teacher who does that. Much easier for schools to make all these part-time PE plus something else posts and have lots of people scrabbling over the hours.

If you want to do PE full time (and have a chance of a proper job), why not look into something like working as a personal trainer in a gym?
