    A fella did his leaving last year june 2015, dropped out of his course start of december as he didnt like it, just wondering he says the close date for applicants is like end of march but what im reading here on the cao website was late february? Correct me if im wrong but i dont want to break the poor lads heart.
    Can he not just use his last years cao account and put in new courses and edit?
    Is he too late to repeat too?

    For external candidates, the closing date was the 16th Feb..the should contact the SEC and ask what the late fees are. I know there is a date beyond which you cannot apply but I don't know when that is.

    The next closing date for external candidates to apply to sit the leaving cert is 4th March 2016. You cannot apply for subjects with a practical or project component after that date.

    If he wants to use his old Leaving cert results, CAO opens for applications again on the 5th of March if that's any help. I could imagine it'll be more expensive than before but it is easier than waiting till next year. Make sure for him to get it done asap after March 5th as I'm not sure what the closing date is for those late applications.

    If he wishes to repeat the Leaving cert, I really wouldn't be the one to ask on that, but i would refer you what Spurious said.

    One thing he cannot do is use his old CAO account.
