All phone boxes seem to still have the old Eircom branding, has anyone seen a phonebox with new Eir branding yet ?

    Demolishing them, more likely.

They should do what New York did recently, and convert them all into free-WiFi hotspots.

Few months ago, in town, I saw a bloke in a phone box. Talking on the phone! Seemed pretty surreal. He only looked barely thirty too.

But, yeah; I can't see them being worth the massive outlay of doing anything to them except scrapping them.

I think the Labour party are planning to hire one out for the next meeting of the parliamentary party

Ah here sure that would make as much sense as bringing betamax cassettes back. Phoneboxes are gone with the flood lad.

Yeah sure. They'll also be fitting them with VCRs and Sony Walkmans.

How much is it to make a phone call from a public phonebox these days? Still 10p?
Do you need to press button A or button B?

Don't think it'd be big enough for Alan Kelly's ego.

Minimum charge €2 + 50 cent per minute to call a landline and €1 per minute to call a mobile

Eir don't want to keep them, pretty sure they must be part of the USO or they'd be gone already. Spend fortunes washing sh1t from them and replacing glass.

The way things are going, it doesn't look like Alan Kelly will be attending meetings of the parliamentry party anyway
