Will Eir be rebranding their phoneboxes ?

    They should do what New York did recently, and convert them all into free-WiFi hotspots.

    Few months ago, in town, I saw a bloke in a phone box. Talking on the phone! Seemed pretty surreal. He only looked barely thirty too.

    But, yeah; I can't see them being worth the massive outlay of doing anything to them except scrapping them.

    Ah here sure that would make as much sense as bringing betamax cassettes back. Phoneboxes are gone with the flood lad.

    Minimum charge €2 + 50 cent per minute to call a landline and €1 per minute to call a mobile

    Eir don't want to keep them, pretty sure they must be part of the USO or they'd be gone already. Spend fortunes washing sh1t from them and replacing glass.
