I got a CV boot replacement last Friday and was charged €90, I was told previously that the actual part cost 20 and 70 for the labour!!
When I picked up the car I was told that the driver's side CV joint was gone and needed to be done, was there any point of doing the CV boot if the joint was gone or is there 2?? Car is an 07 Opel Corsa.

Boot can be reused so if you need a new joint it's just the joint replaced, not the boot.

Yes there are 2 cv joints one for each front wheel. The new joint will come with a new boot. 70 labour wouldn't be excessive.
