How much sand is needed.

    Building a garage 9m x 6m. Face brick on outside and block on inside that will be rendered. Roughly how much sand would I need. Thanks.

    Rough enough est would be 3ton
    My rule of thumb would be allowing for 20mm sand & cement finish and 2.7 m internal height is the total wall area is est 81m less 6m for doors and windows x 20 mm thick render is 1.5m3 I generally multiply by a factor of 2 to convert volume to weight of stone there is a precise figure but 2 has served me well over the years "better to be looking at it than looking for it "
