Hi all.. Just wondering would anyone be able to give me a rough idea on how much it would cost to move an oil burner that is currently in a kitchen out to a shed?

It all depends on the cutting of the ground and the distance.

Sorry I didn't see this reply until now. I spoke with 3 different plumbers yesterday, one said you can't move it out that I'd have to buy a new one that has casing around it - costing €1500 plus labour and another said that it would be no problem as long as it was 'housed' and that would be a maximum of €500, but he'd expect I'd get change from that. And then another fella who quoted me €90?! I'm still confused lol

Could be any price apart from 90 euro.
Can only be priced after looking at your house.
You have pipe run locations to consider. You may or may not be digging up floors and paths.

without seeing the job and whats involved it would be impossible to price

the only thing I will say is don't be tempted by the guy quoting 90

Thanks for the replies. Can anyone tell me can these oil burners be put outside in a 'house' or was the first guy right in saying that they can't be and I'd need a differebt type of burner?

If the outhouse is completely weatherproof and insulated good enough then yes it can.
If open flued, provisions for ventilation must be made.
Location of flue must be considered
    Install a frost stat too
