Archaeological investigations were carried out in 2014.

Any more information welcome.

Online Improvement section of the overall Scheme is being constructed by Wills Bros, should be finished in 4 - 6 weeks

The Bypass Tender Documents have been issued to the Local Authority but will be placed on the shelf and not put out to tender immediately due to lack of funding

The lands for the bypass have been fenced and site cleared and archaeology works undertaken

4km tailbacks into Moycullen yesterday evening. Although as per post above this scheme is sitting waiting for funding, €2m was allocated to the scheme in 2017. Has there been anything done with it?

the route is fenced off. Its just on the waiting list .the tailbacks in the evening are most evenings now.

Tender documents for this scheme remain on the shelf collecting dust - consultants will be appointed in Q1 2018 to take this through the TII project management phases from construction to handover.

Projected start date is Q1 2021.

All advance works are done for this so it's a case of tender it and go. DPER said 2021 start this week but I'd be surprised if it's not completed by then let alone started.

There should be spare cash next year to start it.

RPS appointed to re-examine the design of the scheme and prepare tender documents (as above). Tender next year and construction in 2020.

€36m estimated cost. Will be a lot of competition for that given the lack of large road projects in the coming years.

I don't know enough about the project to comment on that, perhaps someone else can advise.

Alot of structures (11) on a 4.3km job

The Structures include for a 43.3m two span bridge over the Lough Kip river and a 242m long piled platform through a section of deep peat/soft ground upon which the road will be founded.

I see it's a short distance but a lot of work,I'm looking forward to seeing the piled platform when finished
