    Can anybody tell me if the Irish farmers pension is still available to farmers over 55 or have they stopped it or changed the t&c

    The Early Retirement Scheme for farmers is closed since 2008 with no plans to re-open:

    With the way that farming has been pushed to a part time job in this country yhe answer is not to marry a civil servant, but to become one.

    Seriously though, I would think that when my time is up farming in about 30 years the landscape will be totally changed and unless you are huge you will be renting to a bigger operation and the rental will be your pension or part thereof.
