Hay Bell Problem

    Does anyone have a solution to stopping lambs jumping in and out of the hay bell feeder. Cant keep silage fresh for the sheep coz the lambs are s******g and p*****g inside it

    I have an irresistible urge to solve these kind of problems. I haven't the faintest idea what I am talking about, so this may be rubbish.

    Put a circular platform (ply maybe) on a few blocks to lift the bale so that the bottom of the bale is just below the slots. Put bale on. Put another circle of ply on top of the bale. The bell may be a bit high to start but will drop into place as the hay is eaten. As the bale is used the top piece of ply will drop and protect the bale even if the lambs do get in. As soon as the lambs are too big to get in, store the disks for next time.
