Spare scope - should I use spare mounts too?

So, if anyone out there has a spare/second scope...is it sensible to have it on a spare set of mounts, for ease of swapping and to minimise the overtightening possibility, or would you just remount using the existing mounts?
    Sorry for the newbie question...

Often used various scopes on the same rifle. Always on their own set of mounts.

Save a lot of trouble getting your zero back and much faster than messing about swopping them in and out of the same mounts,

That's the best thing about using a Picatinny rail on all your rifles. Each scope will then have their own Picatinny mounts so swapping over is easy and there is as little POI change as possible.

FYI - Bought set of mounts, threw the scope on by eye, and only about 2" off (albeit at 25m). Can't complain about that.
Certainly think the spare set of mounts is the way to go.
    Thanks again folks.

Have exactly the same problem at the moment, it would be good to use two sets of mounts, Quick detatch mounts are good. If you mark the rail with where your mounts were previously positioned. It should be a good marker to go by when you change scopes on the same firearm.

Trying this at the moment, will let you know how I get on
