I started using it this spring the best thing i ever got calves registered as soon as they are tagged in the shed no more messing around with notebooks and putting them into computer half at night asleep and forgetting one or two same with the remedies soon as you have done something in it goes and you can use it offline which is a major plus if you cant get a good signal.

For a hunderd euro or what ever it was its certainly made my life easier this spring

The only thing i don't like is you don't seem to be able to get a list of cows that have calved would be handy if you could do that for knowing when to let cows into tank etc.

Haven't tried it but you could possibly create a "group" say for cows calved 2016 & add the dam to that group as she calved

Using it here for 2 years & it has improved a lot in that time, never used any other sw so cant compare

1 feature I like is if one of us treats a beast or up dates a record, any body will have the details to hand when they open herdwatch on their phone

sry gttg will add more ltr.

I useHerdwatch. I have drystock and some sucklers and work full-time off farm.
Time poor and find it great. Use for registering calves, remedies, weights, feed purchases etc.
Very easy to use and they are adding useful stuff to it all the time.
Dairy farmer neighbour got it after listening to me raving about it. He's delighted. Can record individual quarters treated for mastitis etc
Can be used on multiple devices too.
He has it on a cheap tablet in tha calving shed too so whoever is there can register the calves, treatments etc.

I think they're offering free demos at the moment. I would recommend it to anyone.

    Hope that helps.

It looks fairly similar to herwatch, they have a months free trial you can use if you want to try it.

A few spreadsheets would probably do the job for you either. Personally I think spending €100+ a year on fairly basic data entry programs isn't worth it but I seem to be in the minority on that one.
