Wasnt sure whether to put this hear or the fashion forum but we'll give it a go here!

Has anyone ever purchased a Magee suit?? Im just wondering how they feel and wear.

They have some nice ones out, never really paid much heed to them before.

My oulfella swore by them, but that's a long time ago, so not much help.

Was looking at one in Murphy's in Cork two weeks ago. Looked and felt great on me but it wasn't the type of suit I was looking for.

A tad bit out of my budget too which didn't help.

Great quality and have been around a long, long time. They to tend to be more older gentleman's wear though. Plenty of tweeds and corduroy, that sort of thing.

I like them. They are a well made hard wearing suit. I tend to buy 2 or 3 at a time for work. get the second pair of pants with them and they will last for years. I just found the cut suited me better (48 regular...wide!)

You can get much more than just tweed from them now..

Very true. I just picked up a navy wool coat that they had on sale. They are famous for the tweeds though - there's a certain breed of American preppy/trad dresser that go positively ape**** for vintage Magee tweeds.

Funny enough my dad preferred them because he was of an undernourished build and reckoned they were better for that and that Copeland was more for the more plushly upholstered chap. Mad or wha.

Behayzuz really? I have a couple of my dads about the place. Though they'd want to be skinny hipsters to wear them.

Bought one last year, wanted a nice suit and you can tell the quality right away. Used to spend about 200 or so on a suit at most, this one was 350 but we'll worth it.

They've new stock in for 2016 and some are nice.

There's a burgundy one in particular i really like :D

The navy coat arrived today and I'd have to agree the posts above - the quality is just superb. The finish and quality of the wool is miles better than the coat it will be replacing. An absolute steal given that they have them at half price at the moment. They have one left in a 38R for the more svelte among us who fancy a bargain.

I found them very good and hard wearing. Most of their stock is too heavy/hot for the climate I am in now though.

I was recommended them by a pal who works in a 'famous' tailor across the road as over the years using them I wore through so many pants. He recommended magess on the QT
