    Hi Folks,

I am looking at either taking on the above project myself or getting a pro in to do it (depending on price)

I have installed laminate flooring in 5 rooms in the house already but the stairs looks to be tricky.

Has anyone any tips or experience in doing this? Are there any kits available that include treads and risers?

    Budget around 700 euro.

    Thanks

Laminate the risers and carpet the treads. Looks well. Easily done.

i was in the same boat as you, till a friend showed me what he had done. He sanded down the stairs and stained/ varnished the wood to match in with the new laminate. i did it myself them and i think it turned out well. He tried to do his one originally, but said it did not look right, was noisy and didn't know how safe it was.

    Thanks Dodzy.

I have a reason for wanting to laminate the lot though.

My young fella is Autistic and tends to pee and poo everywhere so carpets is totally out of the question. It does look great though.

This system should be available to purchase in any decent flooring retailer. If you need to find a local retailer PM me your location and I will see what I can dig up.
